HID (High Intensity Discharge) facilities are commonly used to grow lights. These games have a high voltage transformer and a large capacitor. The capacitor acts as a storage battery and an auxiliary light for illuminating the lamp. Most HID capacitors use a resistance board automatically downloads the device when not connected to electricity. Following a basic procedure, you can choose any major discharge capacitors having a resistance in the discharge plate.
Need tools
2 pairs of alligator connectors
Ceramic least resistance rated at 10 watts at 20 ohms
Paso. 1
Remove all power HID light.
Paso. 2
Connect one end of the croc connectors for the capacitor. A connector for each of the two power connections on the condenser.
Paso. 3
Place in an insulated resistance of ceramics. Spread the cable connectors so that no one touch.
Paso. 4
Attach an alligator in a cable resistance. Connect the alligator lead to the creation of another second resistance circuit drainage.
Paso. 5
Allow this to stay on for 2-3 minutes. It is normal for heat resistance, while the condenser drain.
Paso. 6
Disconnect the strength of a crocodile. Connect the two ends of clips, along with short-circuited capacitor. A small spark can occur when completing the circuit. This “hardening” of the capacitor is kept high, while working in the fixture. Remove the clips before energizing the circuit with electricity.
Capacitors can “absorb” static electricity. This will create a charge storage in the capacitor, although not directly connected to an electrical circuit. Never use a metallic object such as a screwdriver to “short” between the connections of a large capacitor. The result can be explosive.
